OBJECTIVE
The objective of the game is for a team to accumulate 500 points before the other team/s. Points are gained through the number of correct answers from the question cards, or the Forbidden cards.
GAMEPLAY
The team with the oldest player starts. At the beginning of each round, pick a deck of cards and choose a ‘Caller’ from your team. The Caller will then shuffle the cards (thrice!), and then select the top 2 playing cards. The other team will turn over the 50-second sand timer to begin timing the specific round. The Caller will then begin to prompt their teammates to guess any of the 5 words printed on the cards.
The clues given should generally be brief descriptions that will help your teammates guess the word on the card. The Caller cannot mention any word on the card. If he/she does, that word is omitted from gameplay.
FORBIDDEN CARDS
Randomly placed within the shuffled deck of playing cards are 50 forbidden cards. Once the Caller picks a forbidden card, he/she will be required to describe to their teammates the main word on the top of the card without mentioning any of the Forbidden 4 words listed. If the Caller mentions one of the Forbidden words, that card is omitted from gameplay. A member from the other team must look out for Forbidden Words mentioned by the Caller.
If you pick 2 Forbidden Cards, you may proceed to give clues to the 2 words in 50 seconds. Once both cards are completed, that round is done for the specific team.
SCORING
Each correct word answered from the question cards is worth 5 points. The correct answers given from the Forbidden Words are worth 20 points. Total points are written on the scoring pad and the game ends when the first team gets to 500 points.
